Q: Do I have to be a member to shop here?
No! There is no membership is needed to shop here! Becoming an owner is totally optional, but it’s a great way to both save money every day and support us and our missions and goals. If you’re interested in becoming an owner, find more info here.
Q: What kind of soup do you have today?
We have a daily soup schedule that changes each month. Our deli puts the soup out at around 11am and goes until we run out. Note that the schedule is subject to change. Deviations from the schedule may be due to ingredient availability, customer volume, staff availability, and so on.
Q: What are your hours? Where are you located?
We are open from 8am to 7pm every day. We are open all holidays except Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Years’ Day. If we’re closed for any other circumstance, we’ll post on our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram) and/or we’ll send out an email (subscribe at the bottom of our homepage). We are located in downtown Grand Marais, Minnesota on the east bay on Lake Superior – our address is 20 East 1st Street Grand Marais, Minnesota 55604.
Q: What kind of grab-and-go or takeout food do you have?
We are most known for our hot soups which are served at 11am until it runs out. We also have handmade sandwiches & wraps, cold salads, take-and-bake pizzas, fresh sweet and savory bakery items, slices of homemade cake, and many other dessert options. We offer vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options as much as we can. We are a full grocery store, so the aisles have tons of snacks, premade, and frozen foods too. Feel free to sit and eat in our dining area (with free wifi) or take your meal out to the east bay beach where there’s some seating available.
Q: What kind of fresh bread do you have today?
Our bread schedule can be found on our website and in-store. Please note: Real folks baking incredible, fresh bread means delivery times & availability may vary greatly. Here is the general schedule:
- Crosby Bakery (Grand Marais, MN – check out their cafe in town!) – bread delivered most days
- Ashland Baking Co. (Ashland, WI) – Weds & Fri
- Positively 3rd St Bakery (Duluth, MN) – Tues
Q: Who do I talk to about products or refunds?
If you:

Q: Who do I talk to about getting a donation from the Co-op?
If you:
