Bookkeeper/HR Coordinator —
Cook County Whole Foods Co-op in Grand Marais, MN needs you! We currently have an opening for a Bookkeeper who would also take on HR duties to ensure employee support and Co-op compliance. This is full-time with some flexibility to choose your regular work hours. This position performs all accounting functions including AR/AP, payroll, preparation of financial reports, and handling billing questions from vendors and customers. The Human Resources function would include benefits program administration, leave management, and assisting with recruitment and on-boarding of new staff. This position requires a HS diploma or GED; 2 year degree and 2+years in an accounting role, and experience with QuickBooks and payroll processing is preferred. Benefits administration and recruitment experience is strongly desired. Cashiers, Grocery Stockers & Produce Stockers —
We have openings for cashiers, grocery stockers and produce stockers. Applicants must be able to work evenings, weekends and be able to lift 50 pounds. Pay starts at $15/hour. Plus, the Co-op is currently paying an additional $2/hour hazard pay due to COVID-19. Produce Manager —
This position is an integral part of the management team and has overall responsibility for all produce and related products and promotions, while meeting objectives for sales, margin, and customer service. Essential responsibilities include overseeing the produce department and its employees, including hiring, training and scheduling; placing orders and minimizing out-of-stocks, developing vendor and supplier relationships and negotiating for best pricing and product. Coordinates stocking and rotating the produce area displays and signage. Required qualifications include HS diploma or GED, computer and mathematical proficiency, ability to work under pressure, shifting priorities as needed; successful experience in grocery/natural foods managing or supervising a plus.
