Part-Time Deli Prep Cook
The deli kitchen is seeking a part-time cook. We need someone that takes pride in assembling 100 perfect ham sandwiches and can follow a complicated recipe exactly as written. At the Co-op you will work reasonable hours *and* be part of a place that is rooted in good food, cooperative principles and sustainable practices.
Part-time employees earn a 20% discount on just about everything in the store, paid time off and profit sharing.
Candidates must have excellent knife skills, a calm demeanor, and experience with food preparation. Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time and lift 50 pounds boxes of celery is required.

Basic Requirements

Basic Responsibilities
• Provide consistent excellent customer service
• Responsible to complete opening/closing procedures accurately while safeguarding Co-op assets
• Attention to detail and accuracy while at the cash register
• Assisting customers with returns, membership information and registration, and other needs
• Assist with customer special orders
• Promote monthly “Round-Up” cause
• Basic cleaning support in the front-end and surrounding areas
• Basic stocking support in neighboring departments
• Answering phone calls
• Flexibility in scheduling. Schedule may be a combination of shifts and days of the week, per the needs of the department. Days (8:30 – 4:30), afternoons (11:30 – 7:30), weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), and holidays (closed New Year’s, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas days).
