Meet in the Co-op parking lot

The plan is to gather at the co-op and caravan to the piece of Hwy 61 that the co-op has adopted starting at the ranger station. After the clean up, the co-op will provide gift cards to all volunteers so everyone can grab something to eat.

Contact us if you’d like to join!

A little history

The Co-op has been cleaning up our little section of Highway 61 since 1990. That’s 34 years (as of this writing) of picking up trash. We generally meet at the Co-op, head to the ranger station, then one crew goes West to Fall River and the other goes East towards town to Nelson Cabins.

It’s a nice way to get some exercise and help keep Cook County beautiful. Per Denny FitzPatrick, the amount garbage has been *significantly* reduced since the clean-up started. They used to collect 10-12 large bags and now we’re down to around 3-4. PROGRESS!
